When Covid-19 sent the world home to hide out for a while I needed something to occupy my free time. It wasn’t long before I discovered Mixed Media Girl and went down the rabbit hole that is fluid art.
I bought her book, (what a find) and then discovered Olga Solby, Rinska Douana and many others on YouTube.

While I don’t consider myself an artist in the true sense of the word (I can’t even draw a stick figure), I have learned over time, color theory and the way different paints react.
Following the teachings of Molly’s Artistry, Sarah Taylor and Fiona Art, I have now experimented in most of the fluid art techniques and have even given classes.

There are so many artists out there willing to demonstrate their methods, the fluid art community is a family of exceptional sharing. I urge all of you with an itch to create art, to explore this medium. You will not be disappointed. I feel that if I can do it - anyone can!
